Actually missing some Summer shows

I always hum and ho about Summer TV because I get so addicted to my regular TV. Heroes, Survivor, Amazing Race, Desperate Housewives, you get the picture. But oh my gosh. I am SO in love with Wipeout and Ghost Hunters. They already ended their seasons and I am just bored out of my mind. My Mom and MIL told me to watch Wipeout. So I knew it must be good. It was! I was so sad to see the Wipey Awards because I knew that was it for the season. So I actually took the initiative to write to the network and plead with them to bring it back for either a regular season or a longer Summer season.
I found out Ghost Hunters is coming back on in a few weeks. So they will not benefit from my begging emails. But I will continue to harrass Wipeout!

So Palin. Ya. Where to start. I consider myself very liberal in some areas. BRB.....baby has the phone....last time he did that he dialed 9-1-1 and we had the police at our house.
OK back. So I am registered as an independent because I am not happy with either party. I figured that left me open to form an opinon without being swayed by the party I had signed up to be dedicated to. Well, I went from not forming an opinion to forming too many.
First, I supported Hillary. Say what you want but I would do anything to have a Clinton in the White House again, even if it was their dog. I like Hillary. She went to Law School, she stood by her husband, she is strong and opinionated. She put up with a lot of junk from people and she stood her ground. I am impressed with her and I love Bill and Chelsea just as much. I was terribly upset when she did not get the nomination and it left me in this weird position. Obama has no experience. I mean 5 years ago no one ever heard of him. That scares me. It is said that McCain has voted 90% with Bush. That scares me. I like both guys but they both are terribly scary to me. So as of a few days ago I was still very in the air. I wanted to hear the debates and see who said what. Enter Palin. Wow did that change my mind in a big way.
1. She has a 4 month old Down's baby. That baby needs his mother. Being VP will do nothing but tear her away from that infant.
2. She has a daughter who is 17, pregnant and unmarried. So we see where she stands on abortion. But why not adoption?
3. She has allowed her children to become media fodder.
4. She clearly cannot manage her house, how can she handle the VP position?
I have chosen not to listen to anything McCain has to say at this point. That saddens me because I actually like him a lot. But by voting for him, I am thereby partly responsible for pulling that woman away from a family she very obviously needs to be at home with. I am doing a favor to the already born infant as well as to the infant about to be brought into this world by an irresponsible teenage girl.
Palin has NO business accepting this position. She so desperately needs to be at home teaching her 17 year old as well as her other children about birth control. She also needs to nurse that baby and be there for him through all the therapy he is going to need. McCain lost a lot of my respect by even chosing someone like Palin. Does he have any idea what he has done? I have to wonder what the religious right has to say about a teen girl not practicing abstinence.
Crazy. What the heck was McCain thinking?

On to other things, though this subject will likely go on and on for me and thereby, you the reader.
Exercise. Why does it seem like exercise is the answer to all that plagues us? Doesn't it seem like every time you turn on the TV the news is telling us that exercise cures something else?
"Gotta mole? Exercise 20 minutes a day and no more moles"
"Got hemmroids? Exercise 10 minutes a day 3 times a week, no more hemmroids."
So why do runners then have heart attacks and cancer and moles? I mean, if exercising were the cure to all, why do they suffer ailments like the rest of us fatties?
Hmm, maybe exercise is not the cure to all that ails us after all. Just a thought.

OK I am getting the "ah-hem" from behind me...meaning Mr. McCracken would like a word with me.

OH....one more thing.....the High Holy day AKA Halloween is on Friday this year. ROCK ON!
