Bad Movies

So Charlie was gone for 3.5 days. IN that time I rented the chick flicks I am never allowed to see. I saw Sex and the City finally. WOW, what a total let down. Not for me at all. Too depressing, too sad, not funny, not for me. I also saw Enchanted. Cute. Not for me and maybe not what I was looking for that night. I was looking for more like an Every After. I guess it was sort of like and Ever After but I do not find Patrick Dempsey that cute. I still see him as that nerdy little scrawny guy in those cheeseball movies from the 80's. I just couldn't get past it.

OK so I am so excited. My Mom is going to try to get my sister out here for my hysterectomy. So it will be my Mom and my sister here! Isn't that awesome? I feel like I can breath. Now I need to reset my surgery date again. Lindsey is going to think I'm crazy. I keep changing the date on her LOL!

Why hasn't the easy open and ziploc shut potato chip bag been invented yet? I am so frustrated with hard to open bags. Then they rip open and fly everywhere. Then if they don't and you have enough to actually justify putting into the pantry, they go stale because no matter what super chip clip you have, air always gets in. So I have noticed that cheese, chicken nuggets, and other items have easy to open bags with ziploc closures. Whats up with the chip industry? The technology is not that foreign and could not be that hard if the cheese industry has caught on.

So some really awful stuff happened here this last week. A DPS officer was shot and killed. I will tell the story in short because I have a lot to say about it. This officer lives in Tartesso and he went to our local Wal-Mart here to pick up a blow up bed for his visiting in-laws. On the way home he saw someone laying in the middle of the road. Now this road is somewhat desolate so it must have been very eery to get out of the truck. But like the nice guy he was, he got out to see if this guy was ok. As he did someone came out from behind a transformer with a shotgun and shot him in the chest.
The guys were 15 & 16 years old. They wanted to carjack the DPS officer because they wanted to go to a party.
Where to start. The worst thing I did was stay out all night. I was pretty mean to my mother too. I think I was pretty typical because I had friends worse than I was and I also had some that were better. So I figure I was right in the middle. So between 2 teen boys, niether had sense? No one thought enough to stop and say "this is not right". It's insane to me. They will get charged as adults and I hope they get a whole lotta of nothing nice. It has really been bothering me a lot. The DPS officer left behind a young child and wife that is pregnant.

OK on to happier stuff because that whole thing has me in a funk.
We took Chelsea and her friend to the movies yesterday. They had a really good time. They came back here and ate pizza and played video games. It was nice to see Chelsea happy. Now she wants to do a sleep over and I am not sure how I feel about that yet. I need to ponder it awhile.

Bern left to go home to England Friday to see her Mum. There has been a lot going on in her family and she just wants to be with them. Can't blame her. Plus her sister just had the most gorgeous baby boy! He is SO precious and you should see these clothes. I am in love! That same sister also has a daughter who is absolutely stunning. These kids are incredible and should be in commercials. So she is excited to go over and spend time there.

OK going to go eat something bad for me and watch Amazing Race. Are you watching too?????
