Can you believe it? We did it! Charlie and I went out on a date! Our babysitter had lost her cell phone and her home number got disconnected (long story) so that is why I could not reach her. But our dear neighbor down the street Rae had offered to come and sit with the kids. So I had a back up plan all in place. In fact, I was talking with Rae on the phone when Nichole pulled up. I was shocked to see her but also very glad! I didn't want to put Rae out she already does so much for us.
So off we went. We even got to have dinner. We went to Ah-So which is Japanese food and it was excellent! I got shrimp and veggies with fried rice. Charlie got yakisoba. We were in and out in about 45 minutes which was perfect. We went downtown Phoenix, got valet parking and went into Dodge Theatre to see Kathy Griffin live. She came out aboout 10-15 minutes late but she made us laugh for 2.5 hours. Charlie got us 2nd rown tickets so she was right there in front of us. It was awesome! She was so funny and I actually want to go see her again next time she comes into town.
Sadly, for whatever reason, I was in panic mode all night. I could not get it to stop and by the end I was dizzy anf flat worn out. So that was a bummer but I did laugh, a lot.
Yesterday we didn't do much. Kind of lazed around. Chelsea had a birthday party to go to at Peter Piper Pizza which is a pizza place with games. So at 11:30 I took Chelsea to Wal-Mart to get a gift card and a teddy bear. I guess her friend likes stuffed animals or something. I took Josh with us and he ended up walking out with a new ball. It was really nice because we went in through the garden section. It was nice and cool and all the Christmas stuff was out. It smelled really nice. So we went in got our stuff, went back into garden and checked out. It was like we were the only ones in the store.
I gave Chelsea my cell phone to call me. 3 hours later, she did. She was there with her boyfriend Joseph. So that brought up a few questions. I guess they went to play games, turned around and everyone had left without saying goodbye. Chelsea doesn't lie so I believed her. Well, she has lied and it lasted about 3 minutes. For whatever reason, she just is not deceptive like that. Like I was at her age LOL! So we went to go get her and her boyfriend couldn't get a hold of his Aunt. So we ended up taking him home. Then we went to Petco and looked at animals and got some dog food. That night we watched Indiana Jones. It was cute.
Today, again, not much of anything. We went to the fish store and got a new clown fish. We haven't named him yet but he is little and cute.
This morning on the way to breakfast I noticed a dead dog on the side of the road on Watson. I thought it was strange. There have been a lot of dead dogs over there. Well, later we went by it again and this time Charlie saw it. It was a Pitbull with a chain wrapped around its muzzle. Clearly killed and dumped. Either it wasn't breeding or fighting well enough. I am sad people like this dogs owner even had the dog. Not that I am sad that this place is down one more Pit, it thrills me, but I think it is sad for any animal to be just totally disregarded like that. As if they asked to be not good enough to love. Sick. I do not like Pitbulls and I like their owners even less. I wish they would outlaw them here like they have in so many other places.
Was going to make hamburgers for dinner but not sure if I will yet.
