Red Light Cameras

No, I didn't get caught by one but we were having a conversation about them at Bunco. So yesterday and today I started paying attention to the people around me driving. It makes me giigle. Think back to the movie Ferris Buellers Day Off. Remember when Principal Rooney ran down the hall and then slowed down at every classrooom window? Well, that is what AZ freeways are currently like. People speed up, slow down, speed up, slow down. It is funny when you put it into context of a corny movie but not funny when you are trying to get somewhere.
So oddly, since I was observing these things around me, today I see one of the mobile radar camera cars go by. First thought was "oh what a job" my second was "oh poor sap" and my third "I wonder how many times he has been given the bird". Then I wondered if he got hazard pay in addition to his regular check. I do believe it is something he could probably request without being laughed at. Can you imagine, "OK today I need you to take the speed camera car to 10 West" Can't you just feel the pit in your own stomach? It is the equalivant to being asked to get up and work a math problem on the board after sleeping in class for the last month.

Saw my counselor today. Liked her ok. I do not feel like she will solve my issues but I am not sure who or what will. My issues are vast, deep, prolonged, and neverending. Lobotomy.

Watched Wall-e Saturday night. Josh stayed up until 10pm watching with us. I was amazed at how nice and quiet he sat through the whole movie. It is very cute, I highly recommend it!

The boys have been very active lately. I am having a hard time keeping up with them. Josh and I like to play the run away from the dog and scream game. Well, now Jake wants to play too but he can't really run so I have to carry him. I get worn out about 15 minutes into the game. Nice to know I am not the only one though. Babar doesn't chase us like he used to. So it's not just me slowing down, it's my puppy too.

Chelsea wants to go the movies again on Saturday to see Twlight with her friend. They seemed to have handled it pretty well last time so I am thinking that we will say yes. But I need to talk to Charlie about it. He gets mad because we always drive and pay and it makes him mad. So I need to see if he is ok with it. We will likely drive and pay again. I am almost insistent on driving just because I don't know who Chelsea would be riding with and I don't trust people most of the time. So I would feel better if I drove. The paying part, well, not much I can say about that. It just always ends up that way. I thought it would be nice to take them to a 3:15 show and then go to dinner after but we will see. Charlie found his favorite WI restaruant out here. It is Butter Burgers. Sounds gross, I agree but he swears by them. I have been hearing about them for 15 years. So it's about time I get to try one. He is super happy they are out here. He is afraid he built them up too much and I won't like them. I am willing to give them a try though.
