So this morning Mandy called and asked if we wanted to go to Avondale Library for Toddler Reading Time. Well leave it to me to get us totally lost and we were late. I guess reading time is only like 15 minutes and then there is a craft after. We were 15 minutes late and therefore too late to participate. I felt really bad.
So then we went to McD's and had a play date. It was great. Everyone played very nicely and Jake ate like a champ (as usual). Josh was off playing (as usual). It was nice to actually stay awake and be a part of humanity again.
Last night I babysat Mandy's adorable son Alex. He is the most mellow child. He just does his own thing and he is so quiet. My children are so crazy compared to other people's children. It is kind of embarrassing. I would not call my children like bad children but they are energentic. Hence the reason I rarely go to playdates. I am always afraid that my children will mow everyone down. However, we went to Leslie's son's Jake's birthday party last weekend or maybe the weekend before and my children were not too bad. I was impressed. So maybe there is hope for them yet.
So on that note, let me tell a quick funny. When Chelsea was little, she too was somewhat energetic. I think my children get it from me. I would not necessarily call it like ADD or ADHD but just being children with exuberance. Nice way of saying it, isn't it? I was totally against any medication for Chelsea but as she got older, she was miserable so we put her on Adderall. It was a miracle for her. I took her off about 2 years ago and she is fine. So anyway, Charlie, Chelsea and I were going past our old house in La Jolla and we happened to go up over Mt. Soledad, which is where our old house was and also Chelsea preschool. Ha! She said "Hey Mom, there is La Jolla Preschool Academy, how can I help you?" Chelsea had spent so much time in the office she thought the name of the school was La Jolla Preschool Academy how can I help you because that is how they answered the phone.

Tonight is our HOA meeting. I do not think there is anything super important to talk about tonight. Should be an early evening.
Tomorrow I am picking up a new office chair for Chelsea. I found a really nice chair in Buckeye. I asked the person if he would take $25 instead of $50 and he said yes. I am so excited! So I am moving Chelsea's chair down here for Josh and putting the new (used but new to us) chair in Chelsea's room.
OH! Oh my gosh! After the Superbowl, Wipeout Bowl is on. I am SO excited! I hope a lot of people watch and respond because I am in love with that show. And since I am on the subject, I have to say, the tele execs have outdone themselves during this off-seaseon. Let me list the new shows I am in love with: Howie Do It, Gameshow in My Head, Real Housewives of OC (TRASHY TRASHY TRASHY), Rock of Love Bus (SO BAD), of course my Ghost Hunters International, Say Yes to the Dress (all reruns right now, boo hoo), The Shift (true crime, not for the faint of heart), First 48 (also not for the faint), 18 and Counting The Duggar Family, Josh & Kate Plus 8, and I am sure there are a few more but I am not remembering them. So you see, there is funny, totally trashy, and family friendly. I hope some of the shows continue on. Like Say Yes to the Dress, Howie Do It and Gameshow in my Head. OH and of course Wipeout and Ghost Hunters. I know Survivor is starting here shortly, that makes me happy. That also means that Amazing Race is starting soon. YEA!
I would like to see Little People Big World come back on and there was also a show Little People Big Wedding or something like that. They were the nicest couple. I would like to see them on a regular basis.

My house is eerily quiet right now. I think I am in heaven. I can hear myself think for once. I am get a thought out, it is really quite nice.
Lessons this week: cheese sandwiches that do not want to be eaten fit nicely in a computers DVD drive. Peanut Butter crackers do not print well. The bottom slat of a kitchen chair accomodates a
small backwards toddler and will keep him there like pillory stocks.

When Mom is on an important phone, screaming "POO-POO!!" over and over will be the surest way to get her off the phone.
